BKLYN CLAY partners with Touching Land and Carolina Rubio-MacWright to host a 2-class “in conversation” series. Each session will bring together immigrant and New York-based communities, providing a space to discuss and reflect on our diverse experiences in the current socio-political climate. The objective of this series is to create a space for neighbors to make connections within their diverse community and talk with people with whom they may not have otherwise interacted. Throughout the first evening, participants will make slab-built plates to commemorate the shared techniques, experience, and ideas. In the second evening, we will glaze those works as we continue our conversation.

Your ticket price covers the cost of the instructor, materials, firing, translators, and allows for both you and an immigrant community member to be at the workshop.
